Have it your way

Here at David Hunt Lighting we are passionate about our lights, and as they are true investment pieces, we believe that you should have them in the way that best fits your room. We offer a wide range of services that allow you to make changes to the majority of our fittings. This maybe something as simple as adding more chain and cable to give a longer drop on a pendant or choosing to change the colour on one of our hand spun metal pendants, right through to making a major alteration to create a fitting that will perfectly suit your space.

Our 'Build your own' section on the website pairs some of our classic suspensions with some of our beautifully selected glass range. You can choose from our elegant Duxford single suspension in one of its three finishes, chrome, antique brass or brushed brass, the vintage Painswick in aged brass, or our Aspen five light suspension in either the wood or silver birch colourways. Our glass ranges from the petite Tysoe and crimped Waverly, to the grand Gypsy with its delightful, scalloped edges. So, whether you are placing your suspension in a hallway, utility room or kitchen, you will be able to create your own individual pendant.

Adding colour to a fitting is easy with our 'Customise' section on the website. This versatile tool allows you to select a pendant or wall light from our ranges and either choose you shade colour or the painted finish. We work closely with our sister brand, The Light Shade Studio, to provide a carefully curated offering of colours and textures to suit most schemes. You can choose from sumptuous satins, luxurious linens, and sleek silks in one of twenty-three colours. If you have something more particular in mind, we can work with your own choice of fabric, subject to it passing heat resistance testing. This will enable you to further personalise your lighting. We can also add trims if it's further glitz you are after!

If you prefer a painted finish, we have an exclusive palette of twelve standard colours to choose from. They range from the neutral tones of our Cotswold Cream and Pebble, through to the vibrance of Marmalade and Juniper Green. Depending on your fitting choice, they can often be paired with a metallic finish on the inner, cool chrome, warm antique brass, or the beautifully subtle butter brass. This gives an extra lavish feel to your fitting. Our Scallop pendant now comes with an additional option of 5 special edition colours, a creamy Coconut, a luscious Strawberry, a rich Aubergine, an aquatic Amalfi Blue, and a classic Persian Blue. If you have a particular colour in mind to complement your home scheme, then we can also colour match paint to a specific RAL number for you. This gives you the flexibility to create a fitting that is unique to you.

If you still haven't found exactly what you're after, then we are happy to talk to you further about enhancing any of our designs. This can be in a small way of changing a glass style or lampholder or the other extreme where we can add more layers or lamps to a fitting. For example, our largest standard Hyde pendant is a 42 light, but if this isn't big enough for your room, then we have scaled this up to add another 18 lights giving a 60 light! We have a beautiful example of this in our new Chelsea showroom at the Design Centre. Featuring 5 of our standard palette colours and in our new butter brass finish, it creates a stunning ombre effect and is a true statement. Our showroom manager, Nicola Kemplay, would be happy to welcome you to our studio and discuss your requirements. If you can't get into London, then call our sales team and they will liaise with our designers and engineers at our factory in the Cotswolds to create your piece.
